Angelina: I'll die without Brad

The actress is at breaking point as rumours grow about the state of their relationship

Regardless of what has been going on in her personal life, Angelina Jolie has always prided herself on her professionalism when it comes to work. But on the New York set of her latest film, Salt, the actress has been struggling – and failing – to contain her emotions as she copes with unprecedented stress in her private life.

Can Angelina stop history repeating itself?

Crew members were shocked recently when Angelina, 33, collapsed while filming and had to be helped to a chair to recover. While she was fine a few minutes later, it has added to speculation about her physical and mental state. The talk from the film set is of how Angelina locks herself in her trailer for hours on end and is frequently seen weeping, with heavy bags under her eyes.

She has complained of insomnia and has been refusing to eat, while some on the crew are also concerned she may have regressed to the self-harming that has plagued her in the past.

While her role in the action thriller is physically demanding, sources say it is not the stunts and scenes that have driven her to breaking point, but the escalating rumours about her relationship with Brad – and the vicious rows the couple have been having as a result.

A friend of the actress tells Grazia: “Angelina is used to drama and thrives on it to a certain extent, but she is just fighting on too many fronts at the moment.

“She has had some hard times in her life and been in some dark places but things are as bad as they could possibly be for her right now. No one who knows her has ever seen her like this before.”

Angelina has been rocked by new rumours Brad Pitt has been secretly meeting up with ex-wife Jennifer Aniston for more than a month and is now in daily telephone contact with her. Brad, 45, recently spent time with Jen’s best friend, Courteney Cox, at an LA concert, further infuriating his lover.

While Angelina is used to stories about her relationship and tries to ignore them, she feels more insecure this time…

User comments
For all those reading this and commenting on what Angelina should do and how she should act, you are all assuming so many things. Angelina doesn't need comments from people around the world to help her, what she needs and what every happy and successful person has is good family and friend relationships. I.e. someone to talk to openly without fear of criticism, someone who will listen and show that they care and then once the steam is let out, then they can think clearly and find the strength to overcome challenges with a supportive friend or family member.
Angelina is one of the worlds most famous female actress. she is very talented at what she does. i think her past is catching up on her and she is being effected by it. i dont know im not a psychologist but i think she should stop watch she is doing and get away from the paparazzi's, get away from the media, get away from the filming and spend some time with her friends and family somewhere around the world so she can figure things out instead of constantly being under pressure in America and making her situation worse. She just needs some time to get the stress off of her shoulders.
what the hells she self harming for shes got a great life *** loads of money and everything she needs what an idiot
With this next movie, let's hope Ang leaves Johhny alone & he has the brains to just film a movie with her....... nothing else! And as for Jen I think you live & learn - surely she wouldn't repeat that mistake.....!
As my title says, "karma". I don't think Angelina is more beautiful than Jennifer. And neither is she more "talented" as a previous poster said. She genuinely loved Brad Pitt. Frankly, if I was Jen, I wouldn't give either of them the time of day. Actually probably a good "game" to play would be to lure Brad on and then dump him like he did her .. for Angelina.
What on earth is the matter with people out there??!. A person cannot be "stolen" A person is a person not a possession!!!!! Its was Brad who was married and took the vows, not Angelina! He is the one who (if anyone) did the wrong thing. And whats with saying 'fair game'? Sorry, is this all a game??! Are you saying we are all pawns????? NO!!! Give Brad the credit (if he deserves it?) to make his own decisions. He LEFT Jen not he was STOLEN. If he had WANTED to be with Jen then he would be! SIMPLE AS THAT!!! We all have the right to make our own decisions and also live by the consequences. But dont say that he was STOLEN like some piece of meat or possession of some type. Angelina didnt steal him, he left willingly and because he wanted to!! And as for Jennifer, why on earth would you want a man back that has proved his eyes, head and heart go elsewhere? Dont we all want to be with someone who believes they have the best, so they dont need to look or go elsewhere?
Angelin Jolie needs to understand the principals of KARMA!!! She stole a husband away from his wife, despite any problems they may have been having. She is a *** and deserves to end up alone. Any one who has gone through a break-up of a relationship because of another person would agree, she gets what she deserves. It is jst most unfortunate that she has involved chidren in her game playing. Whaterver one thinks of Brad Pitt and his weak, despicable character, she has trapped him because of those poor children. I hope that when they are old enough they realise what a HORRIBLE thing their mother is and tyrn their back on her as well! NO SYMPATHY for the ***!
Ange HE is not worth it!. I'm sick of everyone always blaming the women. Stuff you all. How about looking at what Brad has done hey. He is the one who cant keep his pants on! Come on girls look beyond the sarcasm. He is no angel for once put the blame were it is due. Brad is no god either and she can find herself a real caring man. Dump him I say!!
whatever, angelina is hated for what? growing up in front of the world? look at where she's been and look how far she's come. she's damaged and she's the first to admit it but she's come a LONG way and reality is she was doing well before brad came along, and she'll do fine if she leaves, she's a rollercoaster, but at least she's real.
Angie did not 'steal' Brad from Jen. If someone doesn't want to be with you, its doesn't matter how much 'stealing' you try do, it just won't wash. Brad made his decision to be with Angie and I'm surprised that more people don't seem to understand that it takes two to form (or kill) a relationship. Is it easier to blame Angie because she is more talented and more striking? Or is it just because people don't want to believe Brad can be capable of being a bit of a ***? If you had a female friend and her partner left her for another woman, do you hold him completely blameless? Of course not. You'd all be over at your friend's place, handing out the tissues and chocolate, bagging the ex out and telling her how much better off she is without him.
