Ooh la la Lily!

Lily Allen

She was the star of the chanel show – and we got backstage for all the inside gossip!

It was one of the smallest venues she has played recently, but for Lily Allen this was the biggest show of her life. As she stood on a small platform beneath the stage of the Grand Palais in Paris, she could hear the noise of the Chanel S/S 10 show going on above her.

Lily, 24, had one last nervous sip of water, then the hydraulic platform lifted her up to the level of the show through a fake haystack, sending the audience wild.

Dressed in top-to-toe Chanel, Lily performed her hit Not Fair as the show went on around her.

“Everyone was just knocked out,” says Edwina McCann, editor of Harper’s Bazaar. “She looked fantastic, the embodiment of the show’s ethos.”

After the show, Karl gave Lily a massive bunch of roses and told her she was a Chanel girl now. Her appearance came after months of dieting and exercise to ensure she looked her best.

“She and Karl had been talking for ages about what she should do for the show,” says an inside source. “Lily’s really slimmed down but she’s never going to be a size zero so she didn’t want to walk the runway and be compared to the models.

“When Karl suggested a surprise performance she jumped at the chance – and when he showed her what he wanted her to wear she just squealed with delight because she thought it was so beautiful.”

Sydney-based publicist Jason Parlett, who was invited backstage to watch the preparations, tells Grazia: “Lily was so sweet; she was chatting to her band and the other models and seemed a really normal girl.

“She was offered champagne but turned it down saying she didn’t want to have any alcohol until after the show. When she came back off stage she was literally beaming from ear to ear, jumping around, hugging everyone, saying what fun it was.”

I agree with Binn, there is nothing Chanel about Lilly! Shes white trash who is famous for god knows what...being a bogan? Sure she lost weight and is dressed to the nines but this still doesnt take away from the image she has created for herself. Shame on Chanel! If you are trying to project an image of luxury and taste, this is the last woman you would use.
sorry hon, but i just dont see Chanel here either.
mind your own business and you have no idea what goes on in celebrities lives- so quit commenting on them! if lily allen was bogan chanel of all things would NOT have hired her!!!
You're just jealous binn...you're probably wishing that you were lily allen right now. Wearing that fancy dress and all.
i can't believe that Chanel would want such a bogan as Lily Allen to represent them. The way she speaks and behaves is the exact opposite of what their brand stands for - class! She's not hot, either!
