Lisa Ho’s A/W 10 collection was launched in the opulent surrounds of Country Trader homewares mecca, an appropriate venue for this decadent range that took its inspiration from a hedonistic Budapest glamour girl. As we took our very comfy seats and couches, the parade began to the soundtrack of True Blood, which had some members of team Grazia getting a little hot under the collar. And the clothes kept that momentum going, with beautiful embellished jackets – all wasp waists and kicky peplums – sitting over feather and chain skirts, digital print silk dresses of the Budapest lights at night with draped back and a killer leopard print dress that skimmed the body, perfect for a night on the prowl. The finale gown – a strapless column with marabou feather skirt and jewels piled on and on and on – had some of us gasping out loud. And then start making wish lists.
