Ashlee Simpson-Wentz’s dream run as Violet Foster on Melrose Place has come to an abrupt end.

Gossip Girl Season 3 has been injected with a large bolt of eccentricity, in the form of a cameo by Lady GaGa. The electrifying pop star will be appearing as herself in an upcoming episode – presumably because the writers would be hard-pressed to devise a character that could top her own creation!

Yes, it’s true, according to the November issue of GQ, that has a super-hot (and unzipped!) January on the cover in a sexy black D&G leather jacket and not much else.

January reveals: “The guy I was dating when I first got to L.A. was not supportive of my acting. He was like, I don’t think you’re going to be good at this. So – f*** you! He only has nice things to say now – if anything, I should thank him. Because the minute you tell me I can’t do something, that’s when I’m most motivated.”

The boy in question is reported to be Ashton Kutcher, who she dated in 2000 (that’s GQ’s best bet anyway)! Her portrayal of Betty Draper on the cult TV hit Mad Men, which cleaned up at the Emmy’s this year, has been lauded by critics and made January into a serious actress. Take that!
