The
Grazia team take the latest, greatest and most fabulous finds from our fashion cupboard out for a spin
The candidate: Anouk Colantoni,

The mission, should you choose to accept it: To successfully pull off one of this season’s hottest trends – leather – to the office. But wait, we’ve upped the ante by staying away from traditional black and instead going for camilla and marc’s red-hot tiered leather skirt. Too hot to handle? We’ll see ...
The case in favour: I am completely into this 80s-esque, fiery little number. It is the perfect fit for me. The skirt sits high up on my waist and stops short on the thigh – bring on longer-looking legs! The leather is super-soft and supple, so firing around the fashion cupboard like a little red rocket was still easy to do. And not only did I wear it as an office-chic look with a blazer and studded Gucci heels – when Friday night came along, I just stepped out with my clutch and away I went. Hello weekend!
The case against: Red means stop! And I don’t mean at the traffic lights. If you dare to step out of the house in a red leather mini, I suppose you have to also expect some dodgy glances and comments from people in the street. What can I say? Some people just don’t seem to appreciate the hilarious retro irony of it all.
The verdict: I am 100% into this skirt – it’s the perfect juxtaposition of pretty (the tiered detail) and tough (the leather and zips). Everyone should own a great piece of leather in their wardrobe – so why not make it a standout? Once a child of the 80s, always a child of the 80’s!
