Not many people can stop Miuccia Prada in her, well, Pradas, but Grazia can exclusively reveal that an Australian designer caught her eye backstage at her Miu Miu show at Paris Fashion Week. It all started when renowned fashion blogger Bryanboy commissioned up-and-coming Australian designer Elliot Ward-Fear to customise a selection from his RAFW debut – including 18cm platform wedges and spiked accessories – to wear on his S/S 11 front row circuit.

After the Miu Miu parade, Bryanboy went backstage flaunting his spiked collar and platforms and Miuccia ran up to him, asking: “Who are you wearing?” She said his collar and shoes were “the most amazing accessories” she’d seen. Rumour has it a final air kiss didn’t go down too well – with Miuccia almost getting spiked. Ouch! But she was impressed enough to shake it off. Should we expect a collaboration? Watch this space.
