Alexander McQueen's S/S 10 collection, Plato's Atlantis, with all its reptilian references, reminds us of one of his previous inspirations – Charles Darwin's theory of evolution. And it seems only the fittest will survive when it comes to wearing his new clumpy heels. These bejewelled super-high booties are reminiscent of Japanese foot binding but the big question is, are they as deadly to your feet?

We think even Lady GaGa, whose new single debuted during the show, would draw the line at these babies. Or would she? Watch this space.
